not blurred enough? It was captured at speed, under sniper fire if nothing else. A man holding a digital camera aimed at a wall whilst a police car drives past is surely an offense. I wonder, for why did they not arrest the cameraman? Does not the authority of the Queen permit such clamor?. Why is the camera not an iniquitous weapon?
The man on the street must operate as if the act of photography is as at once reckless but essential. 'He must click at risk' Never must the ingrained 'traits' of the 'professionals' dominate over urgency. This is not fashion week, this is not Africa. Photography should act if it itself is dying. Only then shall we begin to see signs of life.
